Acupuncture has been used in the Eastern world for thousands of years. In the past few decades, Western medicine has shown growing interest in acupuncture and its positive effects on the body. As a result, a great deal of scientific research has been done into the treatment of musculoskeletal pain using needles.
Myofascial cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy which dates back to 300 B.C. The initial cups were actually animal horns. Thankfully we have come a long way since then, and the therapy involves placing plastic cups on the skin to create a vacuum.
